Excellent, my favorite study Bible. The notes are short (meaning they don't take up half the page) and useful, and the center column references are easy to find compared to the footnote references you often see in other Bibles. The layout is conducive to just reading the Bible and using the references and notes when you're confused or doing a deeper study. The concordance in the back can help you to look up verses you can only partially remember and can help you do word studies. The NKJV translation is my go to because it's very literal and has useful notes on textual variants.
The brief history of Calvary Chapel is also interesting and a good reminder to trust in God's strength rather than our own. Chuck was a godly man and a good teacher, thanks to the help of his God. Highly recommend this Bible for everyone, and I also recommend you look into Chuck's C3000 series for audio recordings of his verse by verse teachings through the Bible. I use both as part of my preparation for teaching Wednesday night Bible studies and the men's Sunday school at my church.
The leather binding and thumb indices were nice too. Beautiful text and formatting. I suspect the book will hold up for a long time, making it something you might be able to pass down to the next generation.
All in all, 10/10. Buy it while it's still in print; I doubt you'll regret it.

I am so thrilled with this purchase!!! This is an awesome Bible, leather bound, updated in 2022, bold and easy to read print, complete with commentary from beloved Pastor Chuck Smith, plus many maps and charts!!!
I have been looking earnestly for a Chuck Smith Bible. Six to nine months ago, I found several on Ebay and Amazon for about the same price, but I wasn't sure if they were used. Now these same used Bibles are $2,500-$4,500!!! I "accidentally" ran across this store!!! This was a quick and easy transaction, with fast shipping and tracking, and I was able to schedule biweekly payments. Please help this wonderful Christian bookstore thrive--you won't regret it!!!
